Party Time!

Last weekend, Violet was invited to her friend Elsa’s third birthday party at the Little Gym. This was the first birthday party for a friend she’d been invited to, and she was excited about seeing so many of the kids from Shana’s on a Saturday! Ruby and I joined her.

It’s been quite a while since Violet has visited the Little Gym, and it was so much fun to see how much more she was able to do there now. Hanging from the bars was still one of her favorite activities, but the balance beam was a big hit this time, too.

And the highlight of the event? It wasn’t the cupcakes and lemonade (which Violet passed up for grapes and water anyway) or checking out all the cool stuff Elsa scored as gifts, but the big air mat they got to bounce on. I could have watched her jump and dance on it all afternoon . . . taking pictures the whole time, of course. Here’s a few from the time she did get to spend on it:

I’ve really gotten into storyboards (a series of images together like this one) with our photos recently, and felt like the shots of Violet on the air mat were meant for one.
